CASH IN TRANSIT OFFICERS AND ARMED GUARDS

You can undertake a Cash in Transit or an Armed guard course separately or you can choose to do them together to achieve both a 1C and 1F Security Licence categories.

Most employers of armed security guards, operate Cash in Transit services, therefore it would be beneficial to complete the Cash in Transit (1C Security Licence) and Armed Guard (1F Security Licence).

In some instances, companies may insist that their employees hold a full Certificate III in Security Operations (CPPSEC31318).

It is essential that you make enquiries with potential employers before you decide upon which course you undertake.

PREPARING FOR WORK IN THE SECURITY INDUSTRY

It is important to know that the trainee should have reasonable health, fitness, and competency under stress.  The role / function of a security operative may require performance of duties under stressful and dangerous circumstances. Suitable physical education training, including self-defense, can be arranged, where issues of health/ fitness and leadership qualities need to be addressed. The minimum age requirement for a security license is 18, though training can commence beforehand.

IN CLASS ASSESSMENT

Essentially, the trainee will be assessed during classroom time.
